Theresa believes what we receive from our community is directly proportional to what we give to it. Currently Theresa’s volunteer commitments include:

• Wood Buffalo Food Bank, Member of the Board of Directors
• Arts Council Wood Buffalo, Literary Arts Director
• Former Committee Member, Wood Buffalo Communities in Bloom

In the past Theresa has been active with several volunteer initiatives and causes, including participating as a celebrity dancer at Wood Buffalo Dancing With the Stars 2014, a fundraising initiative for the Fort McMurray SPCA.

On an annual basis Theresa participates in Hope in the Dark, an event designed to raise awareness of issues related to homelessness and organized by the Centre of Hope, Fort McMurray’s daytime drop-in facility for homeless community members.

Theresa, who spent ten years of her early adult life working in veterinary clinics, also provides a home for a variety of beloved furry family members, including three cats and one ferret adopted through the Fort McMurray SPCA.

Theresa has written extensively about local social profit organizations, provided them with pro bono communications and media relations advice at their request and is committed to using her professional skills to assist social profit organizations reach their goals and achieve success in meeting their mandates.
